Hump~Day~Hustle: *Extended Fireworks Edition* / 28 mi.@10-12mph / John Loesch

Hump Day Hustle - *** Fireworks Edition*** Description:

In addition to the usual Wednesday night festivities (see below), we will stop at Madison Meadows in Lombard to enjoy the fireworks. Please bring a blanket or small folding chair and insect repellent. If you cannot transport a blanket or chair on your bike, there will be a cargo trailer available but it is preferred that you carry your own stuff.

Post fireworks we will return to the Villa Park Depot and decamp to the More Brewing Co for post ride food and drink. As we will be riding after dark, you will need lights.

This will also be an opportunity to try a tandem bicycle. John Loesch has tandems to loan out for those of you wishing to try a twice as much fun bike. Please contact him (drjohnod1@gmail.com) to reserve your bike. First come first served. If you have never ridden a tandem before, instruction is available.

Basic Hump~Day~Hustle Description:

Fun and conversation-oriented, trail (crushed limestone, or paved) ride with very little street riding. We ride the Great Western Trail-to-Illinois Prairie Path loop on a weekly schedule like clockwork. This ride proceeds at a pace in which conversation is highly encouraged, and easily accomplished. Night lights, front and back, needed. Mountain bikes and fat bikes encouraged, but even a road bike will work fine. Absolutely no one dropped. // We have a small bathroom break 10 miles out, and a larger break 14 miles into the ride. Our second break, in Wheaton, is next to at least four eateries, including a mouth-watering ice cream shop. If you haven't jumped in yet, the H-D-H train is on its way! Hop aboard! (Some folks jump on and off this ride mid-journey because it has a very predictable and accessible route.)
