Fox River Parking-Trout Park
Join Pussanee and me for a paved Trail Bike and Brew. Nice easy ride on the scenic and beautiful Fox River Trail. Slower riders and E-Bikes are most welcome. There are a few significant hills. Great River views along the Fox River on the way. All paved trail so any bike is fine. We will be on our road tandem. Midway stop is at Sturdy Shelter Brewing for a fine craft beer. As always on these bike and brew rides, the first beer for all riders at the brewery is on Pussanee and me. There is about a 1.3 mile road connection near St, Charles and some trail construction further south that puts us on the road for a bit. Please kindly register due to remote start. Small lot so arrive early, if lot is filled there is more parking just eat at Trout Park proper. We will be back before 4:30pm or so, unless we are not. This is my 36 mile route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/45949778
Villa Park: Villa Park Depot / Historical Society
Maximize your winter socialization by joining fellow riders for morning coffee and/or a trail ride each Wednesday morning. We begin with coffee and conversation at the Villa Perk from 7 to 8 AM. Then those who want to participate in a winter trail ride will leave from the VP Depot at 8:15 for a ride to downtown Wheaton and back for 15 miles. Very short break at the Starbucks in Wheaton for the bathroom and perhaps a quick mid-ride snack. We will be back by 10:30 at the latest for those who need to get on with their day. Make sure you bring a bike suitable for the conditions of the day which may be on limestone or paved trails. If trails are too wet, I will pick an alternate on paved trails or local roads.
The Villa Perk is directly across Villa Avenue from the VP Depot. Those arriving early for the ride are welcome to drop into the coffee shop to sign the ride sheet. All EBC members are welcome to share in coffee even if they have no plans to ride.
weather forecast looks ok so far for next Wednesday. Meet inside the visitors center at 9:30am
Roberto's Restaurant (Meet by the Gazebo, just south of restaurant)
483 S Spring Road
Elmhurst, IL 6
Ride various trails from a central starting point in Elmhust. Meet at the Gazebo, just south of Robertos Restaurant, ample parking near the start along Prairie Path Lane.
Each week, we can determine a location to ride to and which paths and/or Rail-to-Trails we will take (ie. Salt Creek, Great Western Trail, Fullersburg Woods, Prairie Path, etc...) Majority of the ride will be on the limestone paths so bring whatever bike suits you best on this terrain.
Front/rear lights and reflective gear required.
NOTE: Meet at the Gazebo, just south and next to Roberto‘s Restaurant.

Woodridge: Starbucks in Seven Bridges Complex. Lot NE of Starbucks, which is NE of the IMAX theater.

Waterfall Glen Main Parking Lot
Off Cass Avenue and Northgate Road
Darien, IL 60561
Come ride at your pace, as many loops as you would like at Waterfall Glen Nature Preserve in Darien.
Terrain is mixed terrain/gravel, bring whatever bike you would feel comfortable on. This is NOT a road/paved ride so you are aware. This means the terrain is limestone gravel just like the terrain on the Illinois Prairie Path, Great Western Trail and Springbrook Prairie in Naperville.
Meet by the bathrooms building and beginning of the trailhead in the Main Parking lot 5 minutes before the ride starts. More details on the site/location here: https://www.dupageforest.org/places-to-go/forest-preserves/waterfall-glen
One full loop is 9.5 miles with 421 feet of elevation gain (44 feet per mile of elevation gain). You can do a ¼,½ loop, 1 full loop, 2 loops, 3 or 4 in the time frame. We typically mix up the loops to do clockwise and then counterclockwise but you can do what you want to do. This is YOUR RIDE, you whatever distance at your own pace and what is most comfortable to you, in whatever time frame you would like to ride. Please text or email the Ride Leader at the conclusion of your ride for mileage credit.
Motion and nature is so good for ‘da heart + soul!
Villa Park: Villa Park Depot / Historical Society
We will again ride out from Villa Park to George Hardwidge‘s Trader Joe‘s ride, which starts in Naperville at 10am. The weather is predicted to be wonderful. We will do that ride, and then return back to Villa Park promptly afterword.
We will be taking the crushed limestone trails outbound. On the way back, we might be on trails too, but we shall see. (Last time we did a lot of streets after hitting Wheaton eastbound.)
I will be riding a road bike with 28 mm tires and not going hard (or even close) on the way out or back. (I need to warm up very slowly and I want an easy warmdown as well, but last time I flew with a terrific tail wind.)
The trails are currently in their best condition of the year, dust-wise, as well as free of cars of course.
We will sign in for George‘s ride. Your mileage for my ride will be our mileage minus the mileage for George‘s ride.
Even though this is a long day in the saddle, we should be back by 3:30pm or earlier.
Please make sure that you can handle George‘s ride if you come with me, because it will run faster than my ride.
This will be cheery and fun, and I really hope to see you there. :-)
Naperville: Trader Joe's area parking lot - SW corner
